Effective September 2026 · subwriting.com

subwriting.com is operated by Subwriting. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

Script request form. If you send us an event, we receive your name, email, organisation or venue, and what you tell us about the event: its type, date and timing, what is in the room, who calls the show, and what you already have. Submissions are processed by Formspree and delivered to us by email. We use that information only to answer your request and, if you engage us, to write the script.

Handbook purchases. The handbook is sold through Gumroad, under Gumroad’s own privacy policy. Gumroad shows us the buyer’s email so we can answer support and refund requests.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and referral source. Google may set cookies or use similar technologies. You can limit tracking through your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tools.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run a mailing list, and we do not add anyone who writes to us to one — the form is used only to answer you and to do the work you ask for. We do not ask for more information than we need to run the site and respond to you.

How long we keep it

Form messages and event briefs are kept as long as needed to handle the request, deliver the work, and for ordinary business records. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have sent us directly. Send the request through the form on the home page and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes

We may update this policy when our tools or practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do.
